International Ibsen Scholarships 2011

The International Ibsen Scholarships were initiated by the Norwegian government and will be handed out for the forth time in 2011.

The scholarships are meant to act as incentives for critical discourse in regards to existential and society-related subject matters concerning Henrik Ibsen.

Scholarships are applicable to individuals, organizations og institutions within the artistic and cultural communities.

Scholarship funds amount to NOK 1.000.000, - (approx. Euro 125.000,-/US Dollars 150.000,-) will be awarded to Ibsen-related projects worldwide.

Previous years, projects from Asia, North-America, Europe, Africa and Australia have received scholarships.

The presentation of the scholarships is staged in Ibsen's birth town, Skien in Norway in September and coincides with Skien International Ibsen Conference.

The application deadline for The International Ibsen Scholarships is April 15th, 2011.
