Nordisk Panorama '12 - Nordic documetaries and short films festival

Last updated: 09/02/2012 // The Nordisk Panorama '12 - festival of Nordic short and long documentary, animated and feature films will take place in Belgrade at the Cultural Center of Belgrade from February 17-21, 2012. Nordisk Panorama '12 films will also be screened at the Cultural Center of Studentski Grad in Belgrade but during 2012 also in Novi Sad,Niš, Zrenjanin, Obrenovac, Čačak, Zaječar, Leskovac, Kraljevo and Grocka.

 

“Nordisk Panorama Film Festival” is organized by the Balkankult Foundation, in Belgrade and Serbia for the 9th time in cooperation with Filmkontakt Nord.  

This traditional event is a unique international film festival presenting a selection of the best documentary, short and animated films from the newest Nordic production. The festival is a result of inter-regional and international cooperation between Balkankult, the Belgrade Cultural Center and partners from the Nordic regions. Royal Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade is one of the supporters of this prominent cultural manifestation.

During The Nordisk Panorama '12  as additional program, Balkankult Foundation organizes also an exhibition titled "Pasjon og Polemikk " by the Norwegian artist Ingrid Berven, at the Center for Cultural Decontamination in Belgrade. Alongside with the exhibition in the same venue in Bircaninova 21, the organizers have planned a stage discussion with Ms. Berven, art critics and artists from Serbia. The discussion will focus on Norway and Serbia, an artist's status in society, the country's policy towards art, copyrights, as well as alternative methods of financing art.

Norwegian artist who mainly works with video, installation, new media and painting. Educated at the Bergen National Academy of the Arts, Grieg Academy Dept. Music, Norway and Academy of Fine Arts, Finland, Ms. Berven is the initiator and the curator at BY THE WAY - Gallery of Contemporary Art. Ingrid Berven was in charge for scenography, costumes and video projections at Transitteateret for "Walk Cat, Walk!", has been the leader for the National Jury at the Norwegian Autumnal exhibition 2005 and had extensive artistic activity with series of solo and group exhibitions mainly in the Nordic countries.
