Norway and Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia

Relations between Norway and Serbia are very good. A central part of this is the broad project cooperation between the countries since 2000. Serbia is an important partner for Norwegian efforts for supporting regional cooperation and assist furthering the region’s European integration. Read more

Norway recognized Montenegro as an independent state 16 June 2006, and diplomatic connections were immediately established. The Embassy in Belgrade handles diplomatic relations with Montenegro. Diplomatic relations between Norway and Macedonia were established in 1993, and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Skopje was established in 1999. The Embassy in Skopje closed down 30 June 2012, and since 1 July 2012 the Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade has been accredited to Macedonia. Read more
